Shakera Selman audio LOUGHBOROUGH, England

Shakera Selman spoke to CWI Media today, following a training session for the West Indies Women’s team, as they prepare for the ICC Women’s World Cup to be staged from June 24 to July 23 in England. The 27-year-old from Barbados is a right-arm fast-medium bowler who has appeared in 65 One-day Internationals for the Windies Women’s side.

She and the rest of the Caribbean side were reduced training indoors at the England & Wales Cricket Board’s National Performance Centre, as steady showers throughout the day forced a postponement of a practice match against an England Women’s XI here. The match will be contested tomorrow instead. The Windies Women travel to the English East Midlands from the southern city of Southampton, where they are using the home of the Hampshire County Cricket Club as their training base for a 17-day period before moving to the city of Leicester for the formal start of the Women’s World Cup programme Details for the download of the audio from this media opportunity are below.
