Rochard Douglas Boys continued their fine display in the Atlantic National Primary Schools cricket league with a 74-run victory in the national play-off against Mayaro Government.
After winning the toss and taking first strike, Mayaro compiled a competitive 148 for loss of six wickets. Shiva Ramdeo top scored with 17 runs from just eight balls, as extras were the main contributor in the clash. Adam Roopchand bowled four testing overs and took 2/24. Mayaro took to the crease hoping to overhaul the target but it was not to be. They lost wickets at regular intervals and finally crashed to 74 all out. Aaron Dejour tried his best with 13 but could not find the support from the rest of his team. Aleem Mohammed was almost unplayable taking four wickets for 12 runs. He was well supported by Jameel Sankar with 2/12 and Anthony Arrindell 2/17.
