Links on fire in Nick’s T20

Links XI seems to have taken a liking to the pink ball and has won their two matches in the Nick’s Sporting Goods T20 Pink Ball league in Woodland, South Trinidad.
Playing at the Evergreen cricket ground in front of a good community crowd, Links have entertained returning victories against Church Street and Longdenville United.
In their opening game, they restricted Church Street to 134/5 in 20 overs with G Changoor the chief destroyer with 3/22. R Siew then batted beautifully in getting 52, as Links XI replied with 135 for four in only 12 overs to take the win.
Against Longdenville, Links won the toss and as is accustomed they asked the opposition to take first strike. Longdenville rallied well to 140/8 in their 20 overs, with S Ragbir getting 32 and G Balram 27. R Gosine was the bowler in form for Links, nabbing 3/17.
Links were stretched in their victory hunt but that man Siew was there to take care of proceedings for them. He clobbered 53 and brought home the bacon for his team with two balls to spare.
