Central lifts Shell U-13 crown

Central Zone easily won the TTCB 2017 Shell Under-13 cricket title, after they defeated North Zone by nine wickets in the finals of the tournament at the National Cricket Centre (NCC) in Couva last Friday.
Central who played unbeaten throughout the series bowled out North for just 80 runs and then got to their winning target for the loss of only one wicket. North batsmen struggled against the Central bowlers with only K Ramdoo (23) and A Richards (13 not out) getting into double figures. There were two wickets apiece for L Ali, R Perriera, R Ramnath and R Ramlal.
When Central took to the crease, they got home easily at 80/1 with Z Dookree 20 not out and R Ramnath 28 not out bringing home the title easily.
At NCC: North 80 all out (K Ramdoo 23, A Richards 13no, L Ali 2/14, R Perriera 2/18, R Ramnath 2/5 and R Ramlal 2/7) vs Central 81/1 (Z Dookree 20no, R Ramnath 28no) – Central won by 9 wkts.
