Organisers of the tournament Cricket Council USA (CCUSA) has already set
the dates as August 24, 25 and 26. This created tremendous interest from teams in America as well as outside. The South Zone has decided that sending their U-15 team will give them great exposure in US conditions. Chairman of the Zone, Chaitram Ramjitsingh is happy with the move :”We have been waiting on this opportunity to send our young players across to America to play in their tournament. We have a good South Zone team and we want to give the players the exposure. We want them to experience travelling with a team and bonding and this is a unique opportunity.

“We have done the research and what we have found out is that the standard of play at the youth level is on par with ours here in Trinidad, so our guys will be well tested. Another great thing about this trip is that our players get the opportunity to play at the only recognised International Cricket Council (ICC) venue in America and this is the Central Broward Regional Park.

“We are already planning this trip and I want to say thank you to Mahammad Qureshi for extending his arm to include the Caribbean and in this case Trinidad and Tobago.”
