THE POPULAR Sam Jattan Youth Cricket League will be back with a bang over the upcoming Easter school holidays with attractive prizes at stake for the top Under-14 cricketers in the Central Zone of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board.
Leading the revival of the 30-overs per team competition is former minister of sport Manohar Ramsaran, acting chairman of the league, who revealed that competition will get underway on Tuesday, March 27.
Ramsaran, who is also an executive member of the TTCB, and an advisor to UDECOTT charman Noel Garcia on the Brian Lara Cricket Academy said that the league will take care of the refreshments and match-balls for all fixtures in the competition.
He also expressed his appreciation of Richard Ramkissoon, president of the Central Sports Cricket Club which campaigns in the Premiership I competition.
Ramkissoon who is the managing-director of Central Interior Designs has consented to provide all the prizes for the outstanding teams and players in the 2018 San Jattan Cricket League.
Teams wishing to take part in the competition can register with Ramsaran at 684-2001; Altaf Baksh 732-5301; Anderson Ramdath 375-1022; or Neisha Wildman 314-0178.
